Queen’s Fernhouse by Peakhost

Phenomenal views, everything is close by Positive: Great location. Negative: I didn’t like how there was a lot of noise coming from one of the units beneath, it made relaxing not quite so easy.

It was nice and comfortable except for the power trip and noise in the morning. Positive: Nice mountain view in a quiet location. Bed was comfortable. Host was very friendly and very prompt response to query. Washing detergent provided so you won’t have to bring your own. There was even a clothes dryer too! Also generous portions of beverages like tea leaves, chocolate powder and even variety of spices provided should you wish to cook. Can see that the host had done all he could to make the stay as comfortable as possible. Negative: We were using the hair dryer in the toilet when it tripped the circuit breaker. As a result, heating was not working in the bedrooms and the power to the dryer machine also stopped. It was close to 12 midnight. Contacted the host in the morning and was informed the breaker was in a locked room. It wasn’t a big inconvenience for us though as it wasn’t too cold at night but would been good if we could switch the power back on. It was also a bit noisy in the morning at about 7.30 am onwards with some people working and talking outside the house, we were not sure who they were. Safety and security wasn’t a concern though.

Nice short stay lovely house and spacious and reasonable pricing and host Positive: Loved the location and how easy it was to access the home was big and plenty of room Negative: The car park we only had 1 available parking allocated and we had 2 vehicles so one had to park out on the road

Positive: Location is good, clean, tidy, beautiful garden, with useful washing machine and dryer Negative: The house is a bit old. Only have one toilet for whole house. So it is a bit inconvenient for whole family to live in.
